Couple Killed In Pasadena Stabbing

A couple is dead and their attacker injured after a stabbing early Monday morning in Pasadena.

Police responded to a 911 call sometime before 6:30 a.m. to the 200 block of North Madison Avenue and found the couple stabbed in their apartment. Both were rushed to the hospital where the woman was pronounced dead and the man shortly thereafter. Initial reports suggested that the male victim was expected to survive. The suspect, a family member according to Lieutenant Tracey Ibarra of the Pasadena Police Department, was arrested without incident. He was seen walking away from the apartment with blood on his clothes, according to NBC 4.

The intersection of East Walnut Street and North Madison Avenue remain closed this morning as police conduct the investigation. The motive remains unclear.
