Count on the Clippers to trade with a team that doesn't actually have players. If media reports are true, the Clippers have traded the No. 2 pick overall to the expansion Charlotte Bobcats along with Peja Drobnjak for the No. 4 pick overall and No. 33 pick.Is that the best Elgin Baylor could do?

Obviously the Clippers have a glut of power forwards and have no use for Dwight Howard. And the Clippers need a point guard in the worst way. As a 6-7 point guard, Shaun Livingston (pictured left) might turn out as the best player in this year's draft. But moving down only gives the Chicago Bulls the opportunity to steal him at No. 3, and it's not like Drobnjak is a debilitating commodity for one more season at $2.8 million. The Clippers could come away from this fine, but Elgin Baylor could have at least waited for the Bobcats to have actual players (like a veteran point guard) to give back in return after today's expansion draft.
