The Dallas Cowboys aren't the only team training in Southern California this August. The San Diego Chargers are in their second season of training at the Home Depot Center in Carson. Unfortunately for Chargers fans in LA (and we know there are tons of you), TJ Simers reports that the Bolts are looking to exercise an escape clause and skip town for training camp next year.

This move isn't the least-bit surprising of course. You may remember that the Chargers went to Carson in a thinly veiled attempt to threaten the city of San Diego that LA was in the team's relocation sites. The Chargers claimed the move from La Jolla was to reduce "distractions." Yeah, like there's fewer distractions in Los Angeles for pro football players than in La Jolla.

But now with the Chargers committed to San Diego through 2008, there's no need to subject LaDainian Tomlinson to the toxic waste dumps around Cal State Dominguez Hills. And so, yet another NFL team plans to leave LA (for the Chargers it's a second time), and LAist will soon renounce its pseudo-Charger fandom.
