Cal State Northridge Student Raped Near Campus While Walking Home

A Cal State Northridge student was sexually assaulted near campus while walking home from a concert.

The 21-year old student was walking home on Saturday night around 9 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted in an alley off Vincennes Street, near Plummer Street. According to CBS Los Angeles, the victim told LAPD she was walking home from a concert on campus known as the Big Show after being turned away.

She had no visible injuries, reports NBC Los Angeles, but was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who remains at large, and no description has yet been released.
