Bristol Palin's Talkin' 'bout Sex, Baby
Arcadia is getting ready for a Bristol Palin LoveFest. That is, the daughter of former GOP VP candidate and Tea Partying grizzly bear hockey mama Sarah Palin has been booked as the featured speaker at LoveFest 9, "an event hosted by Arcadia-based Our Savior Lutheran Church that uses a Christian perspective to tackle tough issues teenagers face, such as abstinence, dating, depression, pornography, drugs and faith," reports Arcadia Patch.
And, really, if ever there was an appropriate person to give a lecture on teen sex and pregnancy, it's Bristol Palin. Actually, hitting the public appearance circuit has been how young Palin has been able to earn the ducats needed to clothe and feed her son Tripp, 2, with former flame Levi Johnston. The 20-year-old is "expected to discuss abstinence, faith and the hardships of being a teen parent at LoveFest 9," and will receive a small fee for her appearance.
Tickets are already moving quickly for the event. $20 gets guests lunch from In-N-Out and dinner from Peppers Mexican Grill, live entertainment, and the chance to hear speakers. There's 1,000 tickets available, and it's expect it will sell out. As Patch points out, that's a big sea change from the event's inaugural outing, which drew only 75 attendees, of which two-thirds were volunteers, said an organizer. LoveFest 9 is February 12-13th...just in time for Valentine's Day!
