Three people are in pretty rough shape after the car they were in took a plunge off a cliff in Malibu last night.

Witnesses reported seeing a BMW traveling on PCH fly off a cliff near Pepperdine University around 9pm last night. They quickly called emergency crews who were able to get to the victims quickly, ABC 7 reported. It's not clear from initial reports what caused the car to plunge.

Authorities told Malibu Patch that none of the injuries life-threatening. One victim was airlifted, another was taken away in an ambulance and a third (apparently very lucky) person was treated at the scene.
