A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he took a Bentley belonging to Lakers forward Jordan Hill out for a joyride that ended with a nasty crash that totaled the luxury car.

Michael Lacey, 26, was arrested last night after the crash at Hill's condominium in Marina del Rey, according to City News Service.

The crash was reported just before 2 am. It appears that Lacey was going too fast and missed the final turn into the parking lot of Hill's condominium. Instead, he smashed into the patio area of the building, hitting a gas line and totaling the car. Witnesses told CBS Los Angeles that they saw Lacey and a female passenger jump out of the car after the crash.

When officers arrived at the scene, they followed a trail of blood from the car to Hill's condo. Hill denied being involved and Lacey was taken into custody. Investigators believe speed and some sort of substance were the culprits in the crash.
