Awwww: Stowaway Kitten Ni Hao is Doing Better!
Because your day needs a little adorable, we've got an update on the three-month-old kitten who was discovered near-death inside a freight container that arrived from Shanghai, China, last week.
The male kitty, nicknamed Ni Hao (it means "hello") is being cared for by the veterinary team of The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) in Carson, and already has a few families interested in offering the wee traveler a forever home.
Currently Ni Hao is under a 60-day quarantine, but might be able to be transferred to the care of foster family earlier. The DACC says Ni Hao is improving, and has offered up his first meows to the team at the Carson Animal Care Center, and his working on standing up.
If you are interested in adopting Ni Hao, you can call (310) 527-5146 or email the facility.
