+ Caroline on Crack gives a positive review to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles today. She gleefully had a delicious "linner". Caroline wonders why she ordered a side of gravy after finding herself satisfied with the chicken and syrup, but LAist remembers Roscoe's being famous for chicken even more dry than Zankou, so the gravy is recommended for Roscoe's and garlic for Z. Biggest difference: one can arrive at Zankou at 11:01pm and have their late night chicken at 11:02p -- try that at Roscoes.

+ Defamer tells us that talk-show host Mike Douglas died today... particularily sad since today was his birthday.

+ reports that La Bamba star Lou Diamond Phillips was arrested last night in Northridge for domestic abuse. Not to make light of this unforgiveable charge, but we've felt abused with pretty much everything LDP has produced on the silver screen since Young Guns II.
