A woman was shot in the leg during a robbery in Hollywood last night.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. The woman, 24, had just parked in the carport of an apartment building near Curson and Fountain when a man on a bike approached her, KTLA reports. He tried to take her purse, but she resisted. He then shot her once in the upper thigh before fleeing on his bike with her purse.

The woman was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

While there was a security camera outside of the carport, it was not working at the time of the robbery. Police will be checking nearby buildings to see if they have any footage.
