500 Days Of Not Summer - Los Angeles Braces For Fall

Wednesday is the official start of Fall, the season we've basically been experiencing since April. Summer we hardly knew you. The National Weather Service calls for morning gray (true!) turning to warmer afternoons with possible drizzle and fog for today and tomorrow, followed by a "hot" spell with hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s (coast to inland) starting Thursday through the weekend, then back to fall. Fashion suggestions to follow as they become available.
If you're confused by the change in the change of the seasons, try to stay calm. Sometimes its hard to make sense of this crazy thing called weather. So many emotions. So many failed outfits. So many crushed expectations of frolicking. How better to express the complex science of air temperature and the human experience, than through verse. Here's a little something to help in this trying time.
The Cruel Summer That Never Was, A Poem
Record lows downtown
Coldest since 1944
Where is my flannel?
Three days of hotness
Is that ice on my basil?
I feel pasty, gross.
Climate crisis, hi!!
Weird pressures over Baja
And it's Spring to Fall.
