Five people were injured, three critically, in a suspected street-racing car crash in Woodland Hills on Thursday night.

The L.A. City Fire Department was alerted at 9:45 p.m. that the three-car crash happened at the Oakdale Ave. and Ventura Blvd. intersection, according to the Los Angeles Times. One of the cars jumped the curb onto the sidewalk and was completely smashed. A bystander was also hit.

Authorities are investigating whether drunk driving and street racing were involved, reported NBC Los Angeles. The alleged drunk driver suffered major injuries including cuts on his arm and mouth.
