A second victim has died in the triple murder-suicide that took place at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center just before noon yesterday. Kelly Hales, 56, of Redondo Beach was in grave condition and passed away six hours after the incident.

Hugo Bustamante, 46, a pharmacist from Cypress was the first victim and died on scene when he was shot multiple times by Mario Ramirez, 50, of Alhambra, who was about to begin his shift. Then Ramirez went in search of Hales where he found him outside before more bullets began to fly. After pacing some, Ramirez shot himself in the head.

"This is becoming a national trend, probably because of the tension going on in our society today," said Long Beach Police Chief Anthony Batts.
