Next weekend brings two major foodie events to Los Angeles!

Saturday September 24: 23rd Annual American Wine & Food Festival
Wolfgang Puckand restaurant designer Barbara Lazaroff host this annual festival at the Universal Studios back-lot in Universal City. Some of the big-name participants include: Mario Batali of Babbo, Bobby Flay of Mesa Grill, Nobu Matsuhisa of Nobuand Sam Choy of Sam Choy, along with sixty vinters and their products. Admission to this big-ticket event costs $250 in advance and $300 at the door, and funds raised will go towards helping Meals-on-Wheels programs in Los Angeles. Sunday September 25: Sixth Annual Chef’s Grand Tasting Dinner
This is your chance to try dishes prepared by renowned chefs all in one sitting! The Sixth Annual Chef’s Grand Tasting Dinner is held at Wolfgang Puck's Spago Beverly Hills, and Puck invites chefs from all over to design a portion of the tasting menu reflecting their own style. This year's lineup includes Nobu Matsuhisa of Nobu New York & Malibu; Thomas Keller of The French Laundry; Stephan Pyles of Dragonfly in Dallas and more. The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $600 per person and $4200 for a table of eight with proceeds going to the Meals On Wheels Programs of Los Angeles contributed by the Puck-Lazaroff Charitable Foundation. An auction will be a part of the festivities and seats are limited.
