The holiday Christmas season has officially begun. Here are a few alternatives to the usual Black Friday shopping stops.

La Luz de Jesus gallery is holding an all-day sale with lots of lowbrow and pop-surrealistic art, including paintings and more by Robert Williams, The Clayton Brothers, Tim Biskup, Liz McGrath, Camille Rose Garcia, Shepard Fairey, Marion Peck and many others. Check out the catalog here.

Love Asian and Asian-American pop culture? Then head over to Giant Robot on Sawtelle for its Black Out Weekend sale beginning today and running through Monday. Customers can save up to 25% off existing merchandise, and other goods are marked down even more. A sidewalk yard sale goes until 4 pm today and from 11:30 am to 4 pm tomorrow.

Royal/T in Culver City is holding sale from 9 am-6 pm today a 75% off Tokidoki, Hello Kitty, Momiji, Pullip and other gifts (sorry but TRON merchandise not included).

Corkbar in Downtown Los Angeles offers any bottle of wine on its 120-bottle list at half price from 4 pm onward tonight. The wine bar is known for a California-focused wine list and farmers’ market-inspired cuisine—all made in a kitchen without a freezer, microwave, heat lamps or deep fryer.
