Bacon-Wrapped Matzoh Ball debuts at Central SAPC in Santa Monica beer and 'balls pairing tonight.
MEATBALLS*Central SAPC (Social Aid and Pleasure Club) inaugurates Meatball Mondays tonight beginning at 5 pm. Each week, they’re pairing gourmet meatballs from the Great Balls On Tires Food Truckwith craft beer. There will also be a guest chef every month, starting with Bravo’s Top Chef (Season 2) Ilan Hall who’s debuting a Bacon-Wrapped Matzoh Ball tonight. Here’s another sample pairing: The Incredi Ball (2 balls) of ground Kobe beef, applewood smoked bacon, gruyere, wild arugula, garlic aioli and toasted brioche with the suggested beer of Lagunitas IPA. The pairing price: $10 with beer/ $6.50 without.
RANT & RAVE
Rogue Machine @ Theatre/Theater hosts the latest edition of Rant & Rave--where LA writers step behind the mic and get a chance to rant or rave on a particular topic. Tonight’s topic is Hunger. Tonight’s writers/speakers include: Bill Brochtrup, Tracie Lockwood, Stephen O'Connor, Penny Orloff, Ian Reichbach, Clarissa Romano, Kevin Van and Chase Winton. 8 pm. BOOKS
Former journalist Michael Connelly is the bestselling author of the Harry Bosch mystery novels. He brings his latest release The Reversal to Skylight books tonight at 7:30 pm. The book reunites LAPD detective Bosch with lawyer Mickey Haller.
OPEN MIC
Sacred Fools Theater Company hosts the monthly 10 Tops eclectic open mic tonight, where 10 performers have seven minutes each to do whatever they want. Music, dance, dramatic readings, comedy, performance art are all possible. Tonight’s optional theme is “Be Real Scary.” Tickets: $10/Free for performers. 8 pm. (If you want to perform, then signups beging at 7:30 pm.
WINE LGO (La Grande Orange)in Santa Monica is holding a special wine tasting event Toast of the Coast tonight at 6:30 pm. Guests can taste fall varietals from Santa Barbara to Oregon and Washington for $25 (for 25 tastings). Wine experts will be on hand to discuss the wines and the restaurant provides passed complementary hors d’oeuvres.

We almost forgot that Ben Huh will be signing copies of the new bookTeh Itteh Bitteh Book of Kittehs at Fatburger West Hollywood tonight from 7-9 pm. This is a ticketed event with only 125 tickets available. They cost $1.04 each, but you'll make it up in free stuff and chezburgers.
