BOOKS
Vroman’s in Pasadena welcomes author Brian Kennedy tonight at 7 pm to discuss and sign Living the Hockey Dream. It’s a follow-up to his first book Growing Up Hockey, and he brings readers more hockey stories. from NHL stars and hockey journalists. COCO RALLY
The “I’m with Coco” rally continues until 4 pm today (rain or shine) for fans to show support for Conan O’Brien. If you’re interested in joining the rally, meet up on the sidewalk in front of Gate 2 in the Universal Studios lot.

POETRY
Poet Majid Naficy, the first Artist in Residence at the Annenberg Beach House, debuts his “lyrical verse drama surrounding the romantic and immigrationary travails of the poet Shahram, his lover Shaherezad and the new man who comes between them” tonight at 6:30 pm. This is the third and final event of Naficy's Beach House Residency and will also feature live music. The Beach House is also now accepting applications from choreographers for the Spring Artist-In-Residency. Deadline is Jan. 25. For more information, please visit http://arts.smgov.net.
