ZOO*
The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association holds an evening of Music in the Zoo, featuring local bands tonight at 6 pm. On the bill are Happy Hollows, Voxhaul Broadcast, Useless Keys, The Lonely Wild, Walking Sleep and Slang Chickens, performing throughout the zoo. Bring a picnic, but there’ll be food and beverages available for sale, too. The event is from 6 to 9 pm, but the animals have to go night night at 8. Tickets are $16.50/$10.50 for adults/children, but there’s a discount for members of the zoo.

JUNGLE PARTY
For those who don’t want to travel east of the 405 for an animal-themed party, then travel to Royal/Tin Culver City tonight from 8 pm to 1 am tonight. Adults are invited to dress like their favorite zoo animals for A Night in the Jungle, with cocktails and vegetarian tapas from the maid café. Owner Susan Hancock will provide animal card energy readings for guests, who can also enjoy music by special guest DJ Daeldelus. Tickets available online for $10 or at the door for $15

Tired of bogus covers and dress codes at clubs? Then the folks at KISSKISS are keeping it simple and fun for you with its NO PHOTOS! 2010 a celebrity-themed party (think Riot Grrrls) takes place tonight at Mr T's Bowl in Highland Park. 21+ $3.00 with RSVP. With a mostly female-centric music lineup, the evening opens with sets from the The Great Entity and TheSirens, followed by DJ sets from RED3 and TaffyD.
