Although Southern California and the greater LA-OC areas are affected by the wildfires, there are still several events going on today. With the air quality severely compromised in many parts of the city, please use your best judgment and exercise caution when spending time outside. Be aware of any road closures that may affect your drive, and do your best to conserve energy and water while those resources are being employed and are under threat. You may want to contact organizers to confirm if the event is expected to take place in light of the fires, as some events may be canceled.

From 3 p.m. until "late" you can head over to Beyond Baroque and take part in an extended creative gathering to celebrate the harvest moon, with some of LA's finest artists, poets, musicians and other-worldly talents joining for a community potluck, song and moondance. Celebrate the harvest season and break bread with activists and artists. Experience the creative spirit, your neighbors, and a high-Venice variety show. And it's free!
