GET AVIAN AND/OR GET A PSYCHIC READING FOR YOUR PET
There's a full day of events at the G2 Gallery in Venice--it's their Parrots & Ducks Holiday celebration to benefit the avian welfare book and film projects of Parrot Press and to celebrate its 1st anniversary. At 2 & 4 p.m. they're screening Little Miss Dewie: A Duckumentary (a film by Mira Tweti and JP Sarro), at 3 p.m. there's a guest reading of Here, There, Everywhere and Of Parrots and People, and all afternoon you can get a reading for your pet by psychic Karen Gonzales. The requested donation is $8 per person, and $10 per 10 minute personal or pet psychic reading. (1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd.)

GET YOUR HANDS ON SOME TRENDY MENSWEAR
LA-based luxury menswear seller Aniki is offering all current and past season clothing at 50%-70% off as part of their "Blowout Gratitude Sample Sale". You may have seen their stuff lately as worn by Tom Cruise, Usher, Joey Fatone, Brian McKnight and Jesse Metcalfe among others--now you can get some for yourself at deep discounts. Head over today until 6 p.m., and enjoy free beverages and food by Kermanig Bakery while you shop. You're also shopping for a cause: 20% of sales to support local charities, and, to show their holiday spirit, Aniki will also be donating denim to teenagers waiting to be adopted through Wednesday's Child. The store is located at 341 W 31st Street in 90007.

Other Things to Do: Get online and do some giving, check out the newly re-opened Conga Room downtown, brave a screening of The Wrestler, join in tonight's Light Up the Night protests, see FrankenMatt at Second City, or get yourself some holiday-themed sweets.
