Wii Love Music!
Wii Music hits Hollywood and Highland today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There, holiday shoppers will be able to see first-hand how Wii can be turned into a musical instrument with Wii Music. A family of street musicians will be on hand with Wii Music to demonstrate the 50 different tunes and more than 60 instruments available in the game, from melodic steel drums to soaring trumpets.
Protest Prop 8 in Pasadena
Another protest against Proposition 8 is scheduled for this evening from 5:30-10 p.m. in Old Town Pasadena at Colorado and Fair Oaks. Announcements will be at 6:15 p.m. at One Colorado Plaza (near Johnny Rockets). Bring your signs, your voice, and your hope for peace and love to Pasadena.
Party for Leggings
Are you excited about leggings? REVOLVEclothing and Costume Dept. are, because today they are debuting their new collection with a party at the REVOLVE Flagship Store (8452 Melrose Ave in West Hollywood). It's free and open to the public. From 3-8 p.m. you can head there to see the new collection, and enjoy complimentary drinks, sno-cones, and snacks as well as a custom scarf-making booth. Hmm, leggings, you say? Could be fun!
Vinyl Pulse: Wacko Toy Swap
Wacko/Soap Plant continues their tradition with their Toy Swap & sale today from Noon to 3 p.m. in their parking lot. Bring your duplicate and unwanted vinyl and trade 'em with others for something you actually want. The event is free - refreshments will be served. Wacko / Soap Plant is at 4633 Hollywood Blvd.
Other Things to Do: Support Echo Park's new indie bookstore/cafe, see California Touring Project dancing downtown, find out if you can stomach some Thanksgiving-style Turkey Sushi, try to get a ticket to see Twilight, or ride the Red Line until 3 a.m..
