What's that saying? You can't swing a dead cat without (in today's case) hitting some sort of 4th of July celebration. Yeah, that's pretty much how it is. If you are looking for something to do, there are a few events you might want to look into, or, grab your loved ones and head out to where the fireworks are legit.

Burbank's Starlight Bowl
The Starlight Bowl's Summer Concert Series begins tonight with the program "Star Spangled Salute to America." The show, which takes place under the stars in the lovely hills above Burbank, features performances by the Burbank Philharmonic Orchestra, the Swing Kings and a finale fireworks show. Performances at 6:30 p.m.; fireworks are at 9 p.m.

The Standard Hollywood's Free Pool Party
There's a free poolside party today 11am-7pm at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood. Check out the fun in the sun and enjoy live performances by DJ Max Vanville and a sun-filled BBQ with organic hot dogs. Try your luck in the Ping Pong Tournament, too.
