6 Museums All For Free
Help celebrate the 20th anniversary of Museums of the Arroyo Day and hit up 6 museums all for absolutely free, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participating museums: Heritage Square Museum, The Gamble House, Los Angeles Police Historical Museum, the Lummis Home and Garden, the Pasadena Museum of History and the Autry National Center’s Southwest Museum of the American Indian.

Venice Art Walk
We gave you a sneak peek at some of the artwork you may encounter in Venice today as part of the 30th annual Venice Art Walk & Auctions, so now it's time to drop the $50 for a ticket (for a good cause: Venice Family Clinic) and enjoy tours of 60+ artists’ studios and special exhibits from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. You also will get admission to the silent art auction that features 400 original works, the food fair and live music that goes on until 6 pm. The Westside restaurants participating include Acadie Crepes, Baby Blues BBQ, Café Surfas, Chaya Venice, The Counter, Great Taste Catering, Hama Sushi, Hotcakes Bakes, Primitivo, Samosa House, Upstairs 2, Venice Grind and The Wood. music, and more.

Let Barbie Feed Your Brain
CFI-LA's FEED YOUR BRAIN Lecture Series is presenting "The Evolution of Barbie: From an Ancient Fertility Totem to a Global Brand." They'll probe the life of the 50-year-old plastic icon and her cult following twice today, first at 11 a.m. in Hollywood at The Center for Inquiry-Los Angeles (4773 Hollywood Blvd.) then again at 4:30 at the Costa Mesa Community Center (1845 Park Ave.). Admission is $8.

Patchwork 4: Support Local Artists & Crafters
Head to Santa Ana from 11-5 today to experience a day of goods from local emerging artists and designers, amazing local food, drinks and music and DIY craft booths for the whole family as part of Patchwork, an indie arts & crafts festival. 2202 North Main Street in Santa Ana; admission and parking is free.

Topanga Banjos!
Because who doesn't love some good old Banjo music?! From 9 until 6 tonight, you can make your way to the Paramount Ranch near Agoura Hills, California in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation area and see a whole mess of music and entertainment at the 49th Annual Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest & Folk Festival. You bet that's a mouthful! Lots to see and do; $15 for adults, $10 for kids.

Beverly Hills' "Affaire in the Gardens"
This weekend marks the 37th Annual "Affaire in the Gardens" in Beverly Hills. Why they put an "e" on Affaire we're not sure, but we do know that from 10-6 today you can check out over 250 artists and exhibitors from around the world featuring collections in painting, sculpture, watercolors, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings and printmaking, as well as see some live entertainment and can opt to hang in the Wine Garden. Stuff for the kiddies as well, if that's your scene. It's free, and at the Beverly Gardens Park, adjacent to Santa Monica Boulevard, between Rodeo and Rexford Drives.
