Pavilion of Wings at the Natural History Museum Opens Today
Spring is here, and so is the Pavilion of Wings. Come face to face with the majestic colors and brilliant patterns of more than 40 species of butterflies, and more super-sized moths in the twelfth-annual Pavilion of Wings at the Natural History Museum, starting today and running through September 6. Hundreds of free-flying butterflies and moths will be flitting about the NHM's South Lawn.

Sustainable Sundays @NHM: Good Eats
There are actually two reasons to check out the Natural History Museum today; in addition to the opening of the Pavilion of Wings, their monthly Sustainable Sundays program today is about the food we eat. Through various programs running from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. visitors can get tips from the Master Gardeners on how to grow your own organic food; meet the groups that are working locally to promote sustainable growing practices; and learn about greening the food desert with Market Makeovers. There will be an engaging performance of Hop, Slither, and Stalk, and you can also plant an herb to take home.
