"SPORT: Iooss & Leifer" Closing @ Annenberg Space for Photography
It's the last night for "SPORT: Iooss & Leifer" at the Annenberg Space for Photography, so it's your last chance to see the work of two of the world's most renown sports photogs, Walter Iooss and Neil Leifer, who have come together in this two-man show. "Spanning the careers of both men, the exhibit features over 80 photographic prints, including the iconic images of Muhammad Ali’s victory over Sonny Liston, and Michael Jordan in full glory. SPORT: Iooss & Leifer will take you on a journey through some of the most memorable and inspiring moments in sports history." Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Free.
Sustainable Sundays @NHM: World Water Day L.A.
The Natural History Museum's Sustainable Sundays series hosts World Water Day L.A. today from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. This water bottle free event will help you learn "how you can become a voice for water and help to protect and maximize L.A.'s water resources." This afternoon at 4 at Book Soup, Ira M. Resnick will present and sign his work Starstuck: Vintage Movie Posters from Classic Hollywood. "For four decades film historian Ira M. Resnick has been amassing a superb collection of 2,000 vintage movie posters and 1,500 stills, which has never before been published. Starstruck: Vintage Movie Posters from Classic Hollywood features the best of Resnick’s collection, with vivid reproductions of 250 posters and forty stills from a golden age of Hollywood, from 1912 to 1962." The book is $65, the event is free.
