Women in the City - One Year Later
West of Rome with the Standard Downtown Art Series and ForYourArt present a panel discussion with Emi Fontana, Joanne Heyler and Barbara Kruger, moderated by Joshua Decter reflecting on "Women in the City," a viral public art exhibition curated by Emi Fontana of West of Rome that first spread throughout the streets of Los Angeles in February 2008, and the state of public art in Los Angeles. The discussion begins at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a rooftop reception at 5:30, all held at the Standard hotel in Downtown.

Last Day to See Vanity Fair Portraits @LACMA
Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs is closing TODAY, so if you haven't headed down to LACMA to see the collection, this is your last chance. This has been the first major exhibition to bring together the magazine's historic archive of rare vintage prints with its contemporary photographs. The exhibition explores the ways in which photography and celebrity have interacted and changed, with portraits from the magazine's early period (1913-1936) displayed in conjunction with works from the contemporary Vanity Fair (1983-present). LACMA is open from 11-8 today.

Big Sale at TenOverSix
Beverly Blvd retailer TenOverSix is running a huge courtyard sale this weekend. They are moving out all their leftover merchandise from fall, at prices that are marked 50-80% off! It's on today from Noon to 5 p.m. in their courtyard. (LAist went shopping there and saw their great fall merch, and were there recently for the Lake and Stars lingerie event.)
