People's live in Los Angeles are busy year-round, but the holiday season can seriously kick things up a notch. On Saturday, November 9th from 12 to 4pm, The Original Farmers Market welcomes everyone to join them for their Fall For the Holidays Grocery Open House. This event can give you a head start and make preparation for the holidays fun. Not only is the event intended to inspire and help you make your holiday culinary purchases but also will teach you some tips and tricks to make things easier.

This year's event will have plenty of merchants and workshops to check out. As usual, The Original Farmers Market will have a varied list of artisan grocers and retailers open for the event. Farmers Market Poultry and Marconda's Puritan Poultry will both be accepting pre-orders for holiday turkeys. Merchants are offering plenty of samples including pumpkin pie from T&Y Bakery, golden milk from Dragunara Spice Bazaar, and hot pepper jams and honey from Monsieur Marcel Gourmet Market. There will be 10 workshops available that cover topics such as How To Make Your Own Cheeseboard, Make a Holiday Porchetta, and Thanksgiving Turkey Made Easy. Each workshop will be led by an expert and/or chef that is experienced in the topic and don't just cover cuisine. For example, the Holiday Centerpiece-Making workshop will be presented by Alexandra Scholtz. She is the Lead Floral Designer at WildFlora and has extensive experience in flowers, hospitality, and event management.

Parking at the Farmers Market is free for 90 minutes with a purchase and validation from any Market merchant. One-hour free parking is available in The Grove parking structure. Complete information about Fall for the Holidays Grocery Open House and other events can be found here.
