Is There Anything In LA That's Actually Worth Waiting In Line For?

It doesn't take a lifetime of living in Los Angeles to know one thing about the city: no matter how hard you try, long lines and crowds are largely unavoidable.

Whether you're at the DMV, at brunch with friends, trying to make an unprotected left turn, or practicing your pose before a photo op in front of a pink wall, you will be waiting.

Is anything in L.A. worth the wait? There has to be at least one, right? Here's what happened. We saw a photo of people waiting in line for a swing. It was very confusing and it shook us to our core. We wondered what else people were waiting in line for. That is the origin story of this post. And that is the question we hope you'll answer.

  • Did you camp out for concert tickets before the internet took over our lives?
  • Is there a restaurant with food so good you'd give up half a day to wait in line?
  • Do you feel like the 100-minute wait to ride that one Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios is not actually that bad?
  • Are you an IRL Black Friday shopper?

Tell us the places, things, and people for which you're willing to give up a chunk of your free time. What factors do you take into consideration when you're trying to figure out if something is worth the wait?

And alternatively, what places in L.A. do you think are overrated?

Tell us in the form below, and we may use your response in an upcoming story, but never without your permission.
