Whether you missed February's Rare Books LA event or want to take a second flight into the exploration of some of the finest works on paper and other media, Rare Books LA is here again and it's landing in a new location. On October 5th and 6th, Rare Books LAX is amplifying this experience by taking guests to the recently renovated and historic event center, The Proud Bird.

More than 75 rare book, fine print, photography, and ephemera dealers will be sharing items that will appeal to anyone from Batman fans to those who dabble in witchy things. Biblioctopus at Booth 108 will have first editions of Les Trois Mousquetaires ("The Three Musketeers"), the original manuscript for the fourth Batman story, and the L. A. Dodgers World Championship Ring presented to Don Zimmer. Just in time for the season, Dark Parks Books & Collectibles at Booth A3 will share collected items that concern the occult, magic, and witchcraft trials. For those who are interested in the fine arts, Booth 305 will host Judith Rafferty Fine Art from Portland who will exhibit original pochoir prints from the 1920's and 30's.

Also, if you feel that you may have some items of your own that could be of value, PBA Galleries will offer a free book appraisal on October 6th. Fair visitors are invited to bring up to three books for a free evaluation between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The appraisal will be held in the lobby at the entrance of the book fair.
