I help Angelenos understand the role religion plays in their daily lives and the lives of their neighbors in a region that has long been a safe haven for oppressed religious and ethnic communities worldwide.

Before covering the intersection of faith and international affairs from Southern California, I was a general assignment reporter at Marketplace in Los Angeles and Texas Public Radio in San Antonio. I also worked as a reporter and host at Wyoming Public Radio in Laramie, covering K-12 education.

I come from a family with strong religious ties. Several members are pastors or parochial school teachers.
