How To Reserve Star Wars Land Tickets At Disneyland
Update: This story was updated Thursday, May 2 with more details on how to make reservations for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland.
Crowds are expected to be intense for Disneyland's new section of the park, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The company announced that you'll need reservations (at least at first) to take this particular intergalactic journey. Now they've released details on just how and when you can score those reservations.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, aka Batuu, aka Black Spire Outpost, aka Star Wars Land opens Friday, May 31, and reservations open on Thursday, May 2. The reservations are free and are currently required to get into Galaxy's Edge between opening day and Sunday, June 23.
Those reservations open at 10 a.m. — here are the details:
No matter what, you'll also need a general admission ticket. While the reservations are free, Disneyland dreams aren't (unfortunately).
As Disneyland moves into peak season, prices are rising from the value days deal of $104 to $149 through early September, so get those galactic credits ready. (If you're looking to score a Galaxy's Edge reservation on opening day of May 31, tickets are still at their regular price of $129).
Want to avoid the stress of grabbing one of those reservations? You can skip rolling the golden dice and get an automatic reservation by booking a room at a Disneyland Resort hotel (but that will set you back at least $337/night). According to Disney, hotel guests each get one designated reservation during their stay. And don't try gaming the system — if you cancel your hotel reservation, that Galaxy's Edge reservation gets cancelled too.
Those reservations aren't a promise you'll get access to everything in Galaxy's Edge either, as they note that access to certain experiences in the land are subject to both capacity and other factors, so don't throw on your Millennium Falcon pilot's vest too quickly. But for fans hoping to live that Star Wars life, that (plus the high price tag) likely won't deter them.
