If watching all that World Series baseball at Dodger Stadium this past weekend has you wanting more Los Angeles playoff action (hopefully with a happier ending), you're in luck!

Tonight, the Los Angeles Football Club, or LAFC, will be on the pitch for the franchise's first ever playoff game.

This is their inaugural season in Major League Soccer and they wound up finishing in third place in the Western conference. LAFC will be hosting Real Salt Lake at Banc of California Stadium in Exposition Park tonight at 7:30.

For the uninitiated, here's a little MLS Cup playoffs 101.

It's not a series of games like in the NBA or MLB. It's set up more like the NFL with a one-game elimination format.

If LAFC loses tonight, their season is over. If they win, they'll be on the road to play the Seattle Sounders FC this coming Sunday, with no guarantee of playing another home game.

So, if you really want to go, tonight might be your last chance to see them in L.A. as they attempt to bring a coveted sports title to the city. You'll probably spot Will Ferrell at the game, since he's one of the team's owners.

If you can't make the game in person, you can watch it on ESPN 2 or UniMás KFTR 46. For any soccer fans stuck in their car at gametime, tune in to ESPN L.A. 710 AM or KFWB 980 AM.
