Free On LA Craigslist: One Possibly Cursed Salt Lamp, 'But Yay ... A Dimmer Switch'

(Screenshot via Craigslist)

Craigslist is a national treasure of weirdness, but one local posting has pushed into the realm of supernatural — someone in the Echo Park-Angelino Heights area wants to give away a pink, allegedly cursed salt lamp in an attempt to rid their home of an annoying spirit.

LAist's ghost hunting reporters reached out to the seller, but haven't heard back so we can't verify these claims (and hope everything's OK!). However, the seller alleges they started hearing "strange bangs against the wall where it was, and often saw things move near it out of the corner of my eye." This person writes that they're too freaked out to keep the lamp, but don't want to break it or leave it on the curb for some other unfortunate soul to find. On the upside, it has a dimmer switch.

If possibly paranormal lamps are your thing, better act fast. And if you have and extra $20 to burn, someone in the Valley is selling a cursed doll.

Offloading "haunted items" on the internet is not new, but we do wonder what other cursed goods are out there for sale in L.A. Seen anything spooky on Craigslist, Ebay or another? Let us know at tips@LAist.com.
