A brush fire in San Bernardino County prompted evacuation orders Friday for the entire community of Forest Falls.

The Valley Fire was sparked during a record-breaking heat wave at about 1:30 p.m. and grew to 200 acres in just a few hours.

Authorities set up an evacuation center at Inland Leaders Charter School in Yucaipa.

The fire forced the closure of Highway 38 from Bryant Street in Yucaipa to Lake Williams Drive south of Big Bear. Several hiking trails were closed, too, including Momyer Trail, Vivian Creek Trail, San Bernardino Peak Trail and Big Falls Picnic Area.
