Roy Choi Will Soon Be Dishing Out Pizza At The Line Hotel
Los Angeles food auteur Roy Choi (of Kogi BBQ, Chego and Locol fame) will soon be dishing out pizza in the lobby of his Koreatown Line hotel.
The chef posted a tantalizing photo to his Instagram Friday of a bubbling pan pizza, captioned "R&D round two.
Getting there. POT Pizza Joint opening soon!" The L.A. Times reports that starting in November, pizzas will be available on weekends in the hotel's lobby POT cafe space. The Line is also home to the now-shuttered (but very missed) POT restaurant, as well as the upstairs Commissary restaurant.
Choi's pizza, according to the new website for POT Pizza Joint, will be "a mutant pie," offering a cross between a Detroit, NYC and L.A. slice. "Square but thin. Pan like Chicago but sauce on the bottom. Just a simple straight forward corner slice but this corner is in Ktown," the description continues.
Once operational, the lobby POT Pizza Joint will serve on Fridays and Saturdays, from 6 p.m. "til we run out."
POT Pizza Joint will be located on the first floor of The LINE Hotel at 3515 Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown. (213) 368-3030.
