Taco Bell, the fast food company that exists only for the most inebriated among us (something Lyft understands quite well), is rolling out a new Firecracker Burrito at four of its Orange County locations. The burrito is filled with rice, nacho cheese, sour cream, beef, and red tortilla strips and comes in a red tortilla. You can get it either cheesy or spicy. Most importantly, though, is the final option: do you want to add spicy Pop Rocks for an extra 20 cents?
The add-on, which Taco Bell dubs "popping crystals" (contrary to poppin' Cristal, which we will never do again, because we like to hold musicians accountable), is a packet of the chain's version of Pop Rocks. The condiment adds a "sweet-spicy flavor along with a fizzy texture," according to Foodbeast. The same intrepid reporter learned that adding too many to one burrito makes it overly sweet, so don't let your sloppy and stoned hands pour the rocks on for too long. All together, it costs $1.49, according to Reddit user Elbore.
The burrito is available at the following Taco Bell locations:
2720 W Edinger Ave, Santa Ana, CA
17502 E 17th St, Tustin, CA
1229 E 17th St, Santa Ana, CA
2144 South Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA
