The first annual Los Angeles Times Night Market launches Wednesday night. The free outdoor market will run for five nights at Grand Park in downtown, and will host food vendors, bars, and even a line-up of DJs.

"We're going to have around 50 food vendors, with wine and cocktails, and music, so it's basically going to be a big party every night for five nights," Jenn Harris, deputy food editor at the Los Angeles Times, told LAist. The Night Market is part of the larger, month-long L.A. Times Food Bowl event. "We really wanted to do something that was unlike any other food festival in L.A. or the country," Harris continued. "And I think it is unlike anything in that it is a whole month-long event. But we just really want it to be a celebration of the city's diverse cuisines and cultures. L.A. just has so much to offer, and why not devote an entire month to eating here?"
