Famed French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten will soon be opening his long-announced West Coast restaurant in the new Beverly Hills Waldorf Astoria. The chef owns the NYC Michelin-starred restaurant Jean-Georges as well as ABC Kitchen and ABC Cocina. The restaurant will open on June 1, when the hotel itself opens the doors to its $815/night rooms.

Vongerichten tells Eater the restaurant will be an all-day space drawing from all of his New York restaurants, while aiming to incorporate some L.A.-specific ideas. The restaurant will seat 150 diners with indoor and outdoor space, as well as plans for a rooftop cocktail area.

Vongerichten joins several other New York chefs making the jump to Los Angeles, including Enrique Olvera's Cosme, The Spotted Pig's April Bloomfield, and Christina Tosi's Milk Bar.
