FYF revealed its lineup for the summer festival this Tuesday morning: Missy Elliott, Frank Ocean, Nine Inch Nails, Bjork, A Tribe Called Quest, and Solange will be headlining. The 2017 fest will run from July 21 to 23rd. The festival has moved up to mid-July from its usual late-August weekend and will happen over three days instead of the usual two. FYF is clearly positioning itself as a bigger festival player by pushing the weekend and adding the third day. This is Missy Elliott's only scheduled show in 2017.

Other artists set to play include Iggy Pop, Run the Jewels, Erykah Badu, Blonde Redhead and MGMT. Comedy will also return to FYF for the first time since 2013 with Hannibal Buress. The full lineup is below:

Sean Carlson's 14-year-old festival has seen immense changes over the years. It started as a DIY local festival at the Echo before outgrowing the space and moving to the L.A. State Historic Park. Once that park closed for renovations (the same ones that will be unveiled on April 22), it moved to Exposition Park. It encountered several logistical snafus in its first couple years at Expo Park, to the dismay of most of its guests, but has learned to streamline the experience. Three days is a big jump from the usual two, though, so it's only a matter of time before seeing how they handle raising the stakes. We can only hope the one three-day weekend doesn't turn into two, and that Expo Park doesn't become the Coachella Valley, because, dear god, we do not need another identical festival.

FYF Fest General Admission weekend passes will be available for $299 plus fees and weekend VIP passes available for $549 plus fees. Weekend passes will go on sale Friday, March 24 at 12 p.m. at here. Single Day GA passes will be available for $125 plus fees and be available in mid April.
