Echo Park Crash Kills Two Pedestrians, Injures Others
Two female pedestrians were killed when a car hit them in Echo Park on Sunday morning, and two people in the car were injured and were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, with one needing to be cut out of the wreckage.
The car hit a street light and took off a fire hydrant and caused a geyser, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and ABC7. The crash took place at 9:21 a.m. on the 1000 block of Rosemont Avenue near Marathon Street and a block south of Sunset Boulevard.
UPDATE 11:15 a.m.: The Eastsider reports that Sunset Boulevard is closed between Coronado and Alvarado.
