Hakata Shin Sen Gumi—one of our favorite ramen spots—is opening a new shop in Torrance, and this one has a drive-through window. According to the L.A. Times, this new location will allow you to get ramen and bento boxes without even leaving the comfort of your car.
"Our drive-through is our way of taking a part of Japanese culture and adapting it to the American or Southern Californian lifestyle," Shin Sen Gumi president Mitsuyasu Shigeta told the Times.
This would not be the first ramen shop to offer a drive-through option: Jinya Ramen has a drive-thru in Las Vegas. But while this is a convenient way to pick up ramen and take it your home, slurping while driving seems ill-advised.
