Sqirl, Mariscos Jalisco Join Forces For One Night
With all the dining options we have in L.A., it's sometimes difficult deciding on what to eat.
This Tuesday night, Sqirl and Mariscos Jalisco will help slim down your choices by teaming up to host "Noche Pescado," reports the L.A. Times.
As noted on the event flyer, the menu will include shrimp tacos, confit yellowtail tostada, crispy wontons tossed in Mission Chinese's "party wing powder" with bean dip, and cookies that pay homage to Wa's Golden Hen (Wa's is the Chinese restaurant that's across the street from Sqirl).
To get in on this culinary mash-up you'll need to fork up $20 for tickets. But it's for a good cause, as proceeds will go towards the Hollenbeck Youth Center in East L.A. The food will be served out of the Marisco Jalisco's truck, which will be parked outside Sqirl. The event will start at 11:15 p.m.
Sqirl is not new to the concept of teaming up with other eateries. In May, Sqirl chef Jessica Koslow paired up with Portland-based Salt & Straw to produce "California Avocado and Cardamom with Fermented Carrot Custard" ice cream.
