Delivery Man Shot Several Times In West Hollywood Armed Robbery

A delivery man was shot several times in West Hollywood early Tuesday morning in an armed robbery.

Two suspects approached the victim around 1 a.m. when he was delivering food to a condo complex located on 1000 block of Kings Road, West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department told CBS Los Angeles. They held him at gunpoint, then stole his cell phone and a portable credit card reader before shooting him several times.

A West Hollywood resident told WEHOville in an email, "The shots woke me up from a dead sleep. There were about eight or ten loud pops, in quick succession — four or five and then four or five more."

The victim was taken to a hospital where he is being treated for his non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to survive.

Authorities are searching for the two suspects. They were seen driving a four-door, late-model silver sedan. Deputies are investigating the attack, and at this point it's not clear if this was a random or targeted attack, according to KTLA.

WEHOville reports that this attack is just one of a string of robberies that have occurred in recent weeks in the area. It's not clear if they're related. On Dec. 6, two men, one of whom had a gun, knocked a man over and stole his cell phone at 1250 N. Kings Rd., just a few blocks north from this morning's attack. A group of five men approached a man on De Longpre Avenue near Flores Street on Nov. 22 and stole his cell phone. A similar incident happened again on Nov. 15 Romaine Street near Gardner Street when a group of six men stole another man's phone.
