Angelyne Is Throwing Her Own Over-The-Top Art Show In Hollywood

There's going to be an art show dedicated to one of Los Angeles' finest treasures: Angelyne.

You know Angelyne. She's a mysterious actress, model, painter and singer who you've probably noticed driving her flashy, pink Corvette around Hollywood. She became something of an L.A. icon after taking out a series of billboards promoting herself in the '80s.

September 19 is the opening party for Angelyne's art show at the Museum of Digital Art (MODA) in Hollywood featuring a number of Angelyne's works, which will be available for purchase with prices ranging from $100 to $10,000. Complimentary pink champagne and cake will be served, and you'll also have the chance to buy Angeline merchandise. Haven't you always wanted an Angelyne t-shirt?

There will also be a raffle where, "Angelyne will randomly select 22 winners for the future rides and 1 lucky loser to wash her legendary 'Vette!"

Nikki Kreuzer of Offbeat L.A.—a sponsor of the art show—recently did a video interview with the elusive Angelyne for L.A. Beat. Naturally, Angelyne kept her now trademark fan over her face during the interview. In a baby doll lilt, she talks about her artwork—mostly drawings of herself, occasionally nude—and her time spent playing clubs on the Sunset Strip. Of course, her answers are all distinctively evasive.

MODA is currently open by appointment only outside of their events, but will be open from noon to 5 p.m. beginning November 1, according to their Facebook.

Angelyne is on September 19 at 7 p.m. MODA Hollywood is located at 7190 W. Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. $10.
