Missing Irvine Woman's Body Found Floating In Big Bear Lake
Authorities discovered the body of an Irvine woman who was reported missing over a week ago floating in Big Bear Lake on Thursday.
The family of 35-year-old Lisa Ann Cimbaluk last saw her on Dec. 29 at her Irvine home, and reported her missing to police the next day when they couldn't get in contact with her, according to Press-Enterprise.
San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies discovered Cimbaluk's Toyota Rav4 covered in snow on Sunday, parked in front of a trailhead at Big Bear Lake. This led to a five-day search for Cimbaluk, where authorities combed through the area and eventually found her body floating in the lake while they were doing an aerial search.
It's not clear what Cimbaluk was doing in Big Bear. She didn't tell her family where she was going and did not bring a cellphone with her, reported CBS Los Angeles. She wasn't the outdoorsy type and wasn't known to be a hiker, either.
Irvine police said that there were no signs of foul play. Authorities will be conducting an examination to find out the cause of her death.
