'X-Factor' Singer Simone Battle Found Dead In West Hollywood Apartment

Singer Simone Battle, who came into fame in 2011 as a contestant on the U.S. version of “X-Factor,” was found dead in her West Hollywood apartment Friday morning.

Law enforcement told TMZ the death appeared to be a suicide after she was found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom at 8:30 a.m. yesterday morning. An autopsy has not yet been completed, so the L.A. County Coroner’s Office isn’t yet ruling out other causes of death.

The 25-year-old singer was a member of the group GRL, a reboot of the Pussycat Dolls. She previously had been a finalist on “X-Factor,” making it to the top 17.
