Photos: Ray Bradbury's Cheviot Hills House Is For Sale At $1.5 Million

Ray Bradbury's cozy Cheviot Hills house is for sale, and the home where the late sci-fi author lived and wrote for 50 years can be yours for $1.495 million. Despite the futuristic scenarios and worlds the visionary author put on the page, the home is fairly normal looking.

According to its listing on the Results Real Estate Group, the writing room in the basement is where Bradbury wrote many of his famous works (although an early version of Fahrenheit 451 was written on a rented typewriter at the UCLA Library).

The 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house sits on an almost-10,000 foot lot and also has a garage, though we wonder whether or not it got any use considering Bradbury never learned how to drive. He and his wife of 47 years, Marguerite, raised four daughters at the home. Bradbury died in 2012 at the age of 91.

If you don't have a cool million-and-a-half to spare, you can still check the place out as there'll be an open house tomorrow afternoon from 2-5.
