Cop Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Woman During Routine Traffic Stop
A former Irwindale police officer was arrested Monday on suspicion of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a female driver during a seemingly routine traffic stop.
The case against David Paul Fraijo, 36, is chilling. Authorities allege that a woman was delivering newspapers on the morning of October 20, 2012, when Fraijo pulled her over and asked to see her driver's license, the Pasadena Star-News says. When the woman said she didn't have one, Fraijo is accused of telling her to drive to a nearby parking lot, where he grabbed her breasts and forced her to give him oral sex.
Fraijo has been charged with a laundry list of felonies, including kidnapping to commit another crime, forced oral copulation, oral copulation under the color of authority, sexual battery by restraint and assault under the color of authority, the Los Angeles Times reports.
If convicted, Fraijo faces life in prison. He has pled not guilty, and is being held on $1 million bail.
