3 Ways To Eat Your Way Through The Weekend

The weekend is so close you can practically taste it. Here are the edible events going on in the next few days to keep you occupied — and sated, for that matter.
Buns and Tongues at Doma Kitchen: It's good to know we're not the only suckers out there for a good food pun. Doma Kitchen in Redondo Beach is offering a very, umm, special Valentine's Day dish all weekend. They'll be serving up tongue sliders on pretzel buns served with their homemade potato chips for $11.95. You can find out more of the vitals on their site here.
Beats Bistro: LA Soul: Chefs are the new rock stars and food is definitely the new rock. (Heck, there's even a podcast to prove it.) Further solidifying this theory, Sunday at the Troubadour, Henry Lawrence is hosting Beats Bistro: LA Soul. The event will combine soul food and soul music, hosting three bands, including Rozzi Crane, and chef Alisa Reynolds of My Two Cents. The chef's table is sold out, but general admission ($20) gets you admission and a few complimentary bites. You can find out more info here.
Couples-Free Valentine's Day Events:There's no reason being single should mean that you're stuck at home alone slogging back bon bons and crying into a glass of bourbon. Strap on your finest and head out to one of these events, serve yourself, and be glad you don't have to deal with the kvetching of a significant other. Check out some of our favorite goings-on here.
