Video From 1937 Shows Shirley Temple Inaugurating L.A. Street Car Line

In remembrance of Shirley Temple, who passed away late yesterday evening, we've found an adorable video of the former child star/U.S. Ambassador in the prime of her Hollywood days.

Back in the 1930s, Temple was the most bankable star in the movie industry, beating out many grown-up actors of the time. This meant that the child star was used to give prominence to all sorts of events, including the official inauguration of Los Angeles' sadly deceased streetcar line.

Not only is this a nice vintage video of Temple, but also a reminder that we used to have a streetcar system (Which might come back!).
